Dog Survives Firework Explosion, See Who Came To Visit Him At The Hospital!

A horrific and twisted 4th of July prank brought Indy the pit bull to the brink of death. Who on earth could be cruel enough to tie firecrackers to an animal, and light them on fire? When Indy was found wounded and abandoned in a Van Nuys ally, more than half of his body was marred with 3rd degree burns. Thankfully for this precious pup, he was rescued and immediately nursed back to health, undergoing a series of four skin grafts and multiple surgeries. This heartbreaking story took a turn toward the bright side, as Indy was recently adopted by Jenny Mandel; a veterinary technician who stayed by his side throughout his recovery.Doctor’s and volunteers have been amazed by Indy’s joyful spirit and affectionate attitude. It’s clear that his body may have permanent scars, but his heart does not!Indy’s story spread across the US, and even gained the attention of animal activist Ellen DeGeneres!!… Don’t you just love it when dog lovers unite??
